SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN MYANMAR
Sustainable farming practices are taught to the islet communities on the Ayerwaddy River outside of Maubin Township in Myanmar. The communities are taught to grow various staple crops to meet nutrition requirements. Mothers with children under the age of 5 also attend nutrition training sessions where they learn about feeding schedules and how to prepare meals.

The mother’s group is comprised of mother’s with children under the age of five that are or have the potential to suffer from malnutrition.
Sustainable Farming Practices
Seeds and sustainable farming practices are provided by Church World Service. The members practice this training and then teach other community members so that all can benefit. The processes are all organic and allow fields to yield the highest number of crops. These vegetables are then used for nutrition training sessions for mothers with children under 5 y/o.
