Thanks to my parent’s 25-year membership with AAA, I am always prepared with paper maps. I know you can download sections of maps on GAIA, but there’s nothing like a paper map when you’re lost (or totally out of space on your device 🥴).
I have maps tacked up on my wall with torn up post-its mapping various ways North. Of course, the direction will be driven by Hometown Heroes, but I enjoy off-roading so I’m investigating overlanding trails along the way.
After building Max and looking at a route from Texas, through Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana I decided to scout the drive and see how Max performed. Glad I did…my alternator died and now I have one less thing to worry about. Now, for the good stuff.
